I felt that I could tackle
any procedure that was thrown at me. I graduated, and my confidence lasted all but a day. I no
longer had someone holding me by the hand, getting the view, and telling me to “Light at the
center of the hub!” Like most, I was under the assumption that once I go to private practice,
I will have an X-ray technique that will line up the picture and it would be easy. Well I was
wrong. So, instead of learning about the day-to-day operations of a practice, I focused my time
on truly learning fluoroscopy. I went old school and pulled out Netter’s, exposed patients to
probably a year’s worth of radiation and had countless conversations about techniques with
my mentors and fellow colleagues. Overtime, I developed methods that helped me successfully
perform blocks safely and efficiently.
There are many great books out there for spinal procedure, but limited resources on other
peripheral blocks. This book is designed to serve as a radiographic guide to spinal, head and
neck and peripheral blocks. I tried to simplify the procedures so that even the most novice
practitioner, X-ray technician, or medical assistant can use this book and easily obtain
the pictures to assist in performing the block. Each image has a side by side duplicate with
landmarks and targets drawn out to assist in navigating through each block.
If anyone has suggestions for improvements or wants me to add other information, please
email me at fluoroflip@gmail.com.
Thanks for reading.
Rudy Garza III MD

Fluoro-Flip: A Quick Reference Guide to Spinal and Peripheral Pain Procedures 1st Edition PDF

Publisher ‎Jaypee Brothers Medical Pub; 1st edition (June 1, 2018)

Language ‎English

Format Original PDF

ISBN-10 ‎9789352703029

ISBN-13 ‎978-9352703029

[225,214
1537,1668,1709,1512,1531,1586
post-79714","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","product_cat-anesthesia","product_cat-neuro","product_tag-hospital-medicine","product_tag-neurology","product_tag-neuroradiology","product_tag-nuclear-medicine","product_tag-pain-medicine","product_tag-radiological-procedures
["en","uk","ar","au","ca","de","fr","es","pt","th","it","da","ko","he
["GET
