Pain is accepted as the fifth vital sign in many countries after pulse. Chronic pain in the general population is more prevalent than diabetes and hypertension. If pain is not treated properly, it may lead to depression, anxiety, mood disorders, suicidal tendencies and flaring of diabetes, hypertension, etc. There is a special need to create awareness about pain not only among the general population but also among physicians of all specialties to help the victims and give them a pain-free life.This book aims to create awareness about the basic knowledge of pain management not only among the pain physicians but also among the physicians of each and every other specialty.
